I'm not quite sure how to phrase this, so here goes:

I did really well in med school Pharm, AND I really liked it! I thought all the drugs were cool and enjoyed learing how they worked (what recptors they interact with, half-lives, degradation pathways in the liver, etc).

Given that info, which specialty might be good for continuing practice with a focus on Pharm and it many uses?

The two that leap to mind immediately are Internal Medicine and Anesthesiology, but I'm interested in any further thoughts people might have.

Thanks for any input!

Pharmacists 😉

hey trader...

you could always go into EM, and then do a fellowship in toxicology... it's my plan (i too enjoyed the heck out of pharm... and tox patients are really fun).

I believe anesthesia fits the best. I am choosing it because I love phys, pharm and procedures. Seeing drugs work instantly is strangely gratifying. Good luck with your choices.

Thanks everyone for your repiles!

Oh, and Canes, I was referring to use as an M.D.
