Hey,

So I've spoken with other students who applied last year and read multiple forums, so it's set....roughly $3,000 is needed to apply to medical school (obviously, it may be more depending on certain circumstances).

  • How are other students, particularly URM's from disadvantaged backgrounds funding this process? Any suggested resources, contacts, scholarships, etc.:xf:
  • For those in Medical School (or recent matriculates)--have you found med schools to be "financially helpful" through scholarships, grants, loans, etc?
Thanks

I'm applying this upcoming summer and this is how I've been "saving" to fund it: I get the max amount allowed in stafford loans each semester (this gives me about $1000+ after each semester), also I got a school-related part time job for this year that'll add another ~$1000 for these last 2 semesters. Also, I should qualify for FAP.(got it this year for mcat)
