My question is, is the fungi section important for the DAT. There is one whole chapter dedicated to fungi. Should I just skim over it?

Yes you do have to know the basics about fungi. i.e structure,function, basic life cycles.. stuff like that. You dont have to know every differnt life cycle, or specific detail about them tho. Just the basics.
