Details about Fungi and Protists?

Do you guys think we need to know some of the details on these two Kingdoms? For example, know the difference between cellular slime molds and plasmodial slime molds or be able to name taxa of protozoans (rhizopoda, foraminifera, etc.)? Both Cliff Notes and Feralis Notes talk about these with some details.. Do you think it's worth our time memorizing all of these? Thanks!!
