Hello all!
I remember seeing a similar thread last year, and it was amazing! And it'll be a great way to pass the time as we wait around for December 1st.
So feel free to post any funny/embarrassing experiences you have had during an interview or your years at undergrad.
I can start us off...
Over summer I was catching up with an old childhood friend when I had this conversation with his wife:
Wife "How long does it take to become a dentist?"
Me "It's a four year graduate health program, similar to medical school."
Wife "(After a few seconds of silence) so It takes 8 years?!"
Me "Yes, if you are counting the four years of undergraduate studies, it takes 8 years."
Wife "(After another awkward silence) Why not just become a doctor than?"
Me "I will be a doctor. A doctor of dental medicine."
Wife "No, like, a real doctor"
Me "(I was silent for about 5 seconds because I was in shock)... Because I want to be able to golf three days a week..."
I figured it wasn't even worth explaining.
