Spark Notes Version:
Girl goes to Med School interview... gets drunk and ends up kissing an M2 she stayed with. The OP's story is awesome to begin with. But then this iceman character comes in and starts saying how she is a slut. By page 4 he starts trying to convince everyone about how ethically wrong homosexuality is... This thread is out of control in so many ways, i can't believe it's not locked yet.

Anyone have any similar stories in the world of d-school interviews?

I remember a couple of summers ago i was at a predent simulation course at a d-school and we went out with the D1s that night. A couple pitchers of beer turned into body shots and there were rumors of scandalous things happening between the predents and a couple D1s, but i never observed anything concrete.

More scandalous stuff happens in undergrad. The most scandalous stuff happens during international volunteering though 🙂

I agree through and through.... that is why it is so funny. It was a freaking kiss.... not a big deal. If anything she has reached awesome status for kissing an M2.

I just get a kick out of iceman being an idiot! I can see how sleeping with random guys would be considered slutty, but making out with random guys? What, is he still in 8th grade?

Pre-Med school side of SNDN have some hilarious and bizarre posts by hSDN members. Why are we, Pre-dent of SNDN, left out in these crazy posts? LOL 😀

The sane people on this forum are in the dentistry section...I just went through the pre-med forums....I barely made it out alive.
 
even if you do not share iceman's beliefs, he stood his ground in the midst of persecution from just about every other person in that thread. I read every post on every page, and the number of fallacial arguments was off the charts, plus all the outright false accusations against iceman. I did not see one instance of him condemning any particular person, only actions, yet everyone else who disagreed with him felt free to judge him as a bigot and call him all sorts of names. He kept it civil while trying to clearly express his beliefs and was attacked on all sides. Even if you disagree with him, you could learn a thing or two.

I don't know exactly what you mean by "condemning," but here is his first post:

"I'm guessing this girl isn't very pretty.

Because this is nothing new for hot girls unless they are virtuous and they wouldn't go around telling/borderline bragging to people on messageboards."

I find him GUESSING she isn't very pretty isn't very nice. Also, his constant use of words like slutty and ho bag make me not want to learn a thing from him. I personally think he didn't bash anyone, because he knows he is wrong or was trolling, because his posts to the guy's joke of it weren't harsh. IDK just rubbed me the wrong way

I agree with this for the most part. However, I also agree with Jackalo34 that he had some unfortunate choice words for that poor girl as well. Both parties are at fault, but like I said, I do agree that he was more collected than many others.

Yes, I think a lesson is learned on how to keep your cool like Iceman did, but there is also a second lesson to be learned on not pushing your beliefs on others. I am not only talking about Iceman; both parties were pushing their beliefs... 👎 Lets think before we type 😎

+1; I intended to mock the Pre-med guys with my comment. Our Pre-Dental group is much better. 😀
 
Since when did it become illegal to think being gay is odd?

Yeah, that's right... two guys doing it utilizing their anatomy in odd ways - I find it weird. There, someone said it. Am I the only one?

Never became illegal. I'm sure there are plenty people who are tolerant of homosexuals but find the act weird...I'm one of them.

You are not the only one... i also find it weird. In the words of a friend of mine "the pieces just don't fit"
 
I too find it weird.

However, as I stated in the other thread, I have friends who are gay and are very down to earth and contribute heavily to their friends, family, etc. They harm no one and if anything, other than their sexual disposition, are model citizens. They are passionate, caring and thoughtful people who I hold with great esteem and honor in that they are my friends.

My "angst" with iceman was to the degree of which he believed that anything that was sexual in nature was only morally correct, and righteous, if it was for procreation only. Him calling a girl a "ho" or "slutty" because she kissed a guy is ridiculous. If we still held this level of "moral high ground", we'd be using chastity belts and living in the middle ages. Oh, and the best part, that gay people were equivalent to pedophiles and beastiality.
