I went to a Prometric Testing Center this past Thursday to take my MCAT. I woke up a little later than I wanted, so I was slightly rushed getting ready. While getting dressed, I just grabbed a pair of khaki shorts a had worn two night earlier. When I got there, I put my stuff in the locker (wallet, cell phone, keys, and watch), and they let me put my snack in their mini fridge. Well when they were passing the wand over me, I pulled out my pockets as instructed, except for my back left pocket (the one that is always buttoned). They usually don't ask for that one. However this day while they were wanding over the buttoned pocket, the wand kept making a little noise (sounded like a buzzing mosquito) indicating there was something in there. At that moment, I remembered I had a condom in that pocket and had forgotten to remove it. So, the moderator told me that I must have something in that pocket and I needed to take it out. Trying to ease the awkwardness as I was taking out the condom, I said, "Well everyone told me this test f***s you, so I thought I should bring protection." BA-DUM-TSH
Ok so that story is completely true, except I didn't really say that. I wish I would have. I just acted like I had completely forgotten it was in there, and I was very embarrassed with all the other people around watching. I then had to bring it and put it in my locker.
