Hey guys, since many of us love to stress out over the MATC, AMCAS, secondaries, etc. I thought it would be fun to create a thread about random dreams people have had pertaining to premeds.

For starters, I had one last night where I was interviewing at a school. However, when I arrived, all the interviewees had to sit in a circle on the floor and the interviewer asked each of us to "yell out an animal sound to make us memorable". Then later on she started playing the hookie pookie, but without the words and we were told to dance to it, and if we screwed it up we wouldn't get accepted. Yikes!

Well, I'm just starting undergrad, but in high school physics, I was so freaked out. I once dreamt that my intern was grading lab reports. He had just gone through mine and the look on his face was devilish. Just as he was about to give me a big fat F, I woke up in a cold sweat.😱

Luckily, my other science courses were just fine.

Before the MCAT scores came out last month, I had a dream that I got a 12, with a 0 in phys. sci. I woke up in a cold sweat and was so relieved that it was only a dream. 😀

After watching this show on discovery health, where they had 2 hours of delivering babies and some emergency room stuff...then i went to bed reading "body of knowledge" and some anatomy..
I had this weird dream about me , and a hospital, and i woke up at 5am , with the sudden urge to deliver babies and see patients, lol..it was just like...get me in medschool , show me how to deliver babies..and let me at it.....it was weird..
still can't wait for college, MCAT's, etc to be over....I'll be glad if i can finally get to the whitecoat ceremony, lol...
and that day when i'm 80 yrs old , when finally all my debts are gone and all my medical education is finished and i can finally practice on my own.

I had a very frightening dream the other night. My brother came home after several years away, but he wasn't the same. His legs were knarly like a twisted tree branch and he could hardly walk. His skin was scaley and bleeding. And the worst part... when I tried to talk to him, he just moaned and looked empty like his brain had rotted. It was the worst feeling of helplessness imaginable. I don't know what to think of it, but perhaps it's a dream about not being able to help patients.

oooh...creepy, but it could be. But that is what getting some experiance is about, the good part is, hopefull we'll learn all that....and be able to help. Thinking of that made me think of this dream, where i was at this reservation hospital , I was standing in white coat with a stethoscope, and there was this really old native american woman on this stretcher.....someone tried to help her, but she yelled out " i want her" and pointed to me.
I am standing there..with this look...like..ok....and she says " i want a doctor like you....you'll understand me", and then i went to her and put my stethoscope on her chest to check her out...and then i woke up..
I had this dream like last year...oooh..kind of makes you think.

I had a dream that my roommate, who is pre-business, took the April MCAT with me, and he got an 84*pi (so he got a 263.76 on the test...wonder what the breakdown was 🙂🙂) while I got an 81. I was so pissed that he beat me, given that he didn't study, and he wasn't even premed...

To top it all off, when I told him about it when I woke up, he laughed and said that it wasn't a dream. It took me a couple of seconds to realize he was joking, so stressed was I...🙂

How 'bout the one where you think you've submitted your AMCAS w/o the second half of your Personal Statement and with only ONE of your significant experiences?

*cold sweat.
