This might be kind of a ridiculous question, but I was wondering what type of stuff to put for further information that is not covered in AMCAS in some secondary applications that ask for it? I was actually in Boston during the Marathon Bombing and helped out at a hospital in the area for a few days after, but I took the MCAT 12 days later, and I feel that this definitely impacted my studying and potentially dropped my score a little bit lower than I was hoping for. Is this something I can mention? Would it make me sound like I'm trying to find a cop out reason? Any feedback would be helpful!

If you're MCAT is well below the median for the school you're applying then you might want to say something. But if you're MCAT is pretty close to the school's median then I wouldn't go into that...save that story for something to talk about during the interview.... my $0.02
