I am getting an article published in several months related to health, but not based on research or in a peer-reviewed journal or anything. Is there a way to put it into ERAS?

of course. go to publications, and there's a drop down for classifying that type of non-peer reviewed article. It's called "other articles."

Yes, but it requires a date, and the date can't be in the future.

you're right. i just tried it.

what i might do, if i thought having this article in my ERAS would really help my residency application is put in jan 1 2013 (or something) for those required date options and then parenthetically note in your article title that it has been accepted for publication on such and such actual date).

Thanks! That's what I decided I should do. My only qualm is that when you print the application, it automatically says "Publication status: published," but I think it'll be ok. I just found out that it will be published next month, but it's definitely not something worth delaying submitting my application for.

No. Unfortunately, only for publications under the category of Peer Reviewed Journal Articles/Abstracts (Other than Published).
