Hi everyone, I am working on a supplemental application and i need help with a question.....WHAT DO YOU FEEL IS THE MOST DIFFICULT CHALLENGE PHARMACISTS WILL FACE IN THE COMING YEARS? WHAT WOULD YOU DO TO OVERCOME THIS CHALLENGE?.........i'm totally confused and i dont really know what would be a challenge for pharmacists in the future..can you guys please help me. thank you so much in advance

If you're going to be a retail pharmacist, I'd say its diabetes education. The number of overweight Americans continues to rise and with it the number of diabetics who need continual education on monitoring their situation.

I would think about what's been happening in the news the past couple months concerning pharmacists as well as how the profession has changed from 30 years ago until now. Think about how the profession is going to change while you are in school and how it will change even further once you are out of school. There are indeed many challenges our profession is currently facing and will be facing because it is a rapidly evolving profession. =) I won't give you any answers, since you should be researching this yourself. If you need help, ask a local pharmacist and see what they think about their job and what problems they already foresee.

I agree the poster should simply write.... "Taking care of Fatties."
