SO here is my dilemma. My problem is I really like medicine think being a doctor would be super cool. I am an econ/bio double major in college. Did well on my mcats so am applying to med schools right now. But recently I became my student governments treasurer. It is a lot of work(20-30 hrs a week) but it is just super interesting managing budgets, and working with students and helping them reach their goals. I was always interested in econ but being treasurer has been an awesome experience even though it has a lot of work, i definitely enjoy it. how does one even go about being a treasurer? does it pay well? how can i combine my two likes?

I'm going to go ahead and preface any comments others may make with one of your quotes right here on SDN;

who is the greatest physician of all time ?

Become administrator of a hospital(think Lisa Cuddy, Dean of Princeton-Plainsboro)

1. Medicine
2. Business(I know it's not the same as econ but you will be managing budgets and making insurance deals just like she did in that one episode haha)
3. Lots of $$$, to go along with what first poster quoted

Win. 🙂

P.S. Sorry if you don't keep up with House

thanks I coyotelime. what is the proper path to becoming lisa cuddy. Obviously go to medical school but what are the proper steps after that. How competitive are these positions?

Gender change and a lot of plastic surgery.

Consider MD/MBA programs.
