Hello all, I'm looking to apply for a MSW at both UNC at Chapel Hill and USC (South Carolina). Due to residency status, I might be forced to go with USC for the lower tuition.
I would like, more than anything, to be able to use Spanish and help the Latin American Immigrant population through social work. As I am still unfamiliar with the foci of different MSW programs, I am unsure as to which path might lead me in the right direction.
Also, my fiance and I would like to move to California in the future so as to be closer to her family. I figure that this would be perfect as California has a large immigrant and Spanish speaking population, but I'm left wondering how my licensure would work if I studied in South Carolina and later tried to move across the country.
Any tips for a newbie with these interests?
