Mechanics: Choose, from three roles, which two you want (one for affiliation and the other for ability) and you'll be randed in the game with it. The discarded role will be publicly revealed.

Warning: I may rerand if the current setup makes it ridiculously difficult for village to win.

I wonder what lies kd and Dina and I will tell ourselves about the StardeWW design this year, since last time, we said it was going to be more of a basics game than StardeWW 1.

Yeah more basic WW structure and solving, less mechanics. Y'all haven't experienced that yet and I find it's always a good refresher for practicing good old fashioned deduction and affiliation solving without the assistance or distraction of complicated mechanics 🙂
 
It is illegal to reference our conversation this morning in which I said I don't enjoy modding basics games the way I enjoy modding my role madness monstrosities in your answer.
 
@Zenge142 @kaydubs (I don't know Dina... 🫣) ... is the WWast of Us game actually going in spring? or is that dated too? That would get me another show to go back and binge!

I'm gonna need to take at least one or two of these games off, but all of these sound like lots of fun!

There are a bunch of games on here from people I'm pretty sure aren't coming back to run them, but I didn't have the heart to remove them. I think people can feel free to run games with themes that have been claimed if the claimer is no longer around, so don't consider all of this list "dibs" on themes or anything.

I assume SPN part 6 through infinity was the game we played a little while ago.

Love them all, but the following concepts stick out to me: the hobbit, handmaid’s tale, force awwakens, Avengers, Moana, Schitt’s creek, doctor who pt 3, parks and rec

I know name of the wind is a little niche, some of the others would be bigger crowd pleases. Whatever you think!

Stormlight Archive is also probably very niche, but wirh so many deep characters (really true of all the cosmere novels), it really would be very ripe source material! If you like Name of the Wind I’m pretty sure you’d like Stormlight too (independent of whether you ever make a game using it)

Hubz is a HUGE Sanderson fan. I'm sure I would like Stormlight, I just haven't had it in me to get into lengthy fantasy shenanigans in recent years.

I say, as I just decided to listen to the entirety of the Hainish Cycle

lol, yes I listened to Stormlight on audiobook at like 1.75x speed. Waaaaaay too long otherwise
