Would anyone be interested in a DC comics themed game? I've been reading a bunch of comics lately and there's tons of potential.

lol... i just looked at the previous game... tardis as a character... brilliant! Seems to have been almost entirely based on the 11th doctor, and focused on the Dalak vs Doctor epic feud... There are so many great characters and story lines, I could definitely make an entirely original and different game...

If I remember right, I became the tardis after getting killed N1. I think I got to move people around. People suspected that people that got moved were wolves so I started moving people I was suspicious of.

My promise to you - and I'll say it publicly - is that the next game I'm a mod in you will have a role that can't be silenced. Might be your only ability. Might be a wolf. Might be a villager. But no silencing for SOV. 🙂

I really liked the silencing in Hedgie's Misfits game. I brought it into Once because it still has an effect but doesn't completely debilitate the person. No PMs can still be really powerful when the right person is chosen at the right time.

Edit: and it effectively annoys the person without completely pissing them off I think. :meanie:

Yeah. That is pretty much what I have moved to as well.
I block their actions, their votes, or their PMs, or a combination.

I just hate silencing on the thread.

No, it wouldn't. But I do tend to be more quiet at the beginning of the games unless I have some invulnerability. I don't want to talk myself into early lynches if I can avoid it.

There have definitely been some roles where you could only post once (in my games for sure) per day.

I wish you could get the role in my SDN game (I think it was the minnerbelle character), where you had to post at least 5 lines of text or something in every post.

I think you are confusing "The Silence" with being silenced. :laugh:

But I like the idea of me not being silenced... that's why I liked my no one dies game. Can't silence people even by killing them!

Yes I hate silencing as well.... but stopping me from PMing doesn't really matter too much as I don't tend to do it unless absolutely necessary.... :laugh:

My favorite games are when I find one person to trust and can PM them throughout the game. It is more fun to plot/plan/speculate with someone.

Lissarae used to often be my PM buddy.
Haven't had one in a long time.
It was fun talking to DVMD this game.

(in ****** I killed Dwin who tried to be chatty with me. 😱 Sorry Dwin)
 
I am going to make a new rule for my next few WW's:

If you can't post more than lynch votes and random off topic chatter, then GTFO of my game.

I find it disrespectful to the mods and the players who do put time and energy into the games to have a bunch of players that post nothing more than "lynch x" or "I am busy, sorry can't talk, sorry I haven't been around, lynch x". Seriously, if you are so busy that, that is all you can post then do NOT sign up.

For those of you that have not modded, it is like a full time job at times. It takes time, thought and energy and to completely bail on a game for multiple days at a time or only post lynch votes is disrespectful. No, you don't have to be a big poster, but there should be no reason why a player can not post at least 1 or 2 decent, game related posts discussing possible game mechanics/wolves/etc each day. And if you really are going to be busy for a day or two, that is fine, life happens, but for 4, 5, 6 or more days.. that gets ridiculous.

I will be watching out for player participation in my future games, I am not doing a 3 lynch vote count. Participate or risk being mod killed. If you can't participate, then do not sign up. If you have a few days in which you are going to be busy, send me a PM with a heads up, I will be fine with that. I am not ok with a player having an entire game of only lynch votes and off topic chatter.

Ok, that is all. /rant.
