Would you recommend this book for:
1. classes
2. the boards? (An overkill for the boards? )

I like the Lange books. I think it is too much to absorb, but the Pathophysiology of Disease book is good and not as huge. But he is probably the guy (with Costanzo being the girl) as far as phys goes. BRS phys is probably more helpful.

And you will probably find that your courses test at a level below the information presented there. We had a major overkill book (Boron, Boelpaep) for Phys and it was ridiculous. Harrsons was an easier read, and the tests in no way measured up to the level of the text.
