Gap in research

I'd like to do research in medical school but am contemplating forgoing doing any research this year so I can focus on my grades. I already have over three years worth of research experience but no publications/posters. Will this gap be viewed negatively by research intensive medical schools?

Nah you should be okay. Some people do research in medical school without any previous research experience.
