So I find myself with a couple of acceptances to great medical schools right now (Huzzah!) but I am worried about submitting final transcripts. My AMCAS Primary reflects a 3.82 cGPA/3.83sGPA before my last quarter (June 2011 end date) grades were submitted. Now that I have acceptances and will eventually submit final transcripts, I worry that my only C from my final quarter will come back to haunt me. It wasn't in a med school pre-req, but it was in a class required for graduation in my major. Anyone know if this will matter?

My first post here. And thanks for any advice!

No, it should not matter... So long as your other classes reflect the same GPA standard which you referred to before.

Congratulations on your acceptances.

Its okay, I feel as long as your quarter gpa was above a 3, you should be good

Haha, well, the quarter consisted of an A, a C, and a P for Pass/Fail GE class I took. So, it was EXACTLY a 3.0. Does this change anything?

haha you sound like you were lazier than i will be next semester 😛

but i think its fine.

You should call to make sure. I've heard some "top tier" schools will re-evaluate your acceptance if your grades are too low. Don't assume. Always make sure.

Dude don't be a loser. Of course a C doesn't matter if you've already been admitted.

This is not universally true. It's best to ask the school directly.

As far as I know, no school is going to rescind an offer of acceptance because of a C. Even so, why even ask the question if you don't want an answer? If they have a problem with a grade they'll contact you.
