Hey,

FA states; "Early aggressive local spread with node/liver metastases" for gastric cancer.

What does that mean exactly? Does this mean that for every type of gastric cancer, if metastasis to the liver or local nodes (e.g. sister Mary Joseph nodule but NOT Virschow node as that is distant) then the gastric cancer is early in progression but is aggressive.

Did I interpret that correctly?

That's not how I interpret it. It just means that gastric cancers often metastasize early in the disease course to lymph nodes and the liver.

Vs late aggressive may mean the cancer is around for a while before it metastasizes, but when it does, it's a rapid spread

Vs non-aggressive, which is a cancer that doesn't often metastasize

That makes more sense. FA is specific though and says "local nodes". This means that distant nodes such as Virschow node are rarely places for metastasis for gastric cancer, right?
