Could someone please explain to me the difference in what a general cardiologist does in the hospital and in practice vs. a further specialzed one.
also, what are the differences in working hours and compensations? Can general cardiologist have a better schedule? better lifestyle? are they on call less?
do specialized cardiologist in academic institutions have better lifestyles than other ones?
I really love cardiology, but the lifestyle does seem intimidating from people i've asked.
