Ba3CO3 (s) + HCl (aq) -->

how does this reaction occur. hmm HCl dissociates and Ba3CO3 what happens to it? can anyone explain this step by step plz.

Think you mean BaCO3 (s) + 2 HCl (from topscore right?)

Anyway products are BaCl2 and H2CO3 like in a normal double replacement reaction/acid base, but H2CO3 is unstable and decomposes to H2O and CO2.
