Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could help me with these problems. I know what the answer are, but I don't know how to do it. Here are the problems:

1. The following reaction represents the production of hydrogen chloride gas.

H2 + Cl2 --> 2 HCl

How many grams of chlorine gas are needed to produce 3 L of HCl gas at a pressure of 2 atm and a temperature of 19 C?

2. A 1.74 g sample of gas is found to occupy 1 L at 10 C and 2 atm. What is the molar mass of the gas?

3. In the reaction

N2 +2O2 --> 2 NO2

What volume of NO2 is produced from 7 g of nitrogen gas at 27 C and .9 atm?

Thank you so much!

hint: use PV=nRT and some basic stoichiometry

Thanks Phloem01 for your help! This is kind of funny I did use this formula the first time, but I rounded the number so much, so that is why I have like a different number compare to the solution. I am so funny sometime...I guess it because I am tired.
