Hello all. In reference to a re-applicant to medical school:

Do you guys know if admission committees compare a re-applicant's file from the previous year alongside the current one?

Do they even have access or ever refer to prior years' application materials (i.e. personal statements, LOR, activities, etc.)?

It is generally recommended to re-write all essays and activity descriptions as some schools may look at that too. And you do not know if they could have held you back, so it is best to try to improve them and update them with what had transpired the prior year.
