As of 7/2/2019 - West Virginia University General Surgery residency program in Morgantown, West Virginia has an unexpected PGY-1 Preliminary resident position to begin immediately. Due to time restraints – we cannot accept current or eligible visa applicants. Interested applicants must submit the following items in the order outlined below via email to Linda Shaffer, Residency Program Administrator at [email protected] **No phone calls or faxes, please** We must receive all application materials below to be considered. Please send in one pdf. or a zip file. Current CV Copy of ERAS Application Medical School diploma Medical School transcript MSPE (Dean’s letter) USMLE Transcript (a first time pass on both exams is required) Personal Statement 3 Letters of Recommendations US Citizen ECFMG Certificate Permanent residency (Green Card) • If applying as a resident with previous experience (prelim, etc.), in the United States, resident must have competency-based milestone and summative evaluation from current or previous program director. o List of completed rotations o ACGME case log report o ABSITE Scores • Cannot accept a resident if in a current NRMP matched position. Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted when all application materials are received.
