VA pay 5 cents for 1000 count of meformin 1 gm. It is insane, I look at the the bottle, and the plastic must cost more than 5 cents.
No wonder Meijers gives it away for free 🙄

I don't know what part of buffalo you've practiced in, but it certainly is not any part that I've been to.When people pay for everything with AMEX black cards and roll through the drive-thru in Bentleys, they tend to not care how much anything costs. Sucked for our GSR though.

How do you figure? My old store had customers that insisted on brand Amoxil and Z-Pak. If there's a brand being manufactured, people will request it.
well the reason I was surprised is because I work in what is arguably the most upscale grocery store in the wealthiest neighborhood in Atlanta (don't live there though) and I don't think I've ever seen a patient request something like brand antibiotics. I might see an occasional thyroid medication or antidepressant requested as brand, but never antibiotics. They're actually very cost conscious, which I think is smart.
Who gives a ****, you dorks.
Now in my neck of the woods, this is great news because my % generic will go up.
I love it! Thoughtful and insightfull discussion then the retail guys weigh in. All we care about is our generic percentage going up!
I am also excited about the possibilities that lie in seeing my low-income patients without insurance having a cheaper, better alternative to CAP here in some months when prices come down.
Yeah a lot of people who got to the money they have did it by spending smartly. The people who you see spending like they're stupid are either the children of the money makers, or the 2nd wife/husband or something like that. The people who didn't actually earn the status, they just came in to it.
I saw that this generic had been added to the computer system at work but I haven't seen the actual pills yet. I was wondering when it was coming in our order!

I see that difference at times, but something tells me that it's not just new money. I guess it just depends on how smart you are with it.
We have it at the place I work so maybe you will get it soon since you're in the same general region.
One store I worked at, we had two older patients with profile notes that said "'allergic' to generics..."Also, older folks moreso than younger people.
/generalizations 😉

If they ever wind up in the hospital, they'll be anaphylactic after a dose of something, and then if they don't get trade name EpiPen, that'll finish them off.
Had someone complain about their Pfiz. . . oh I mean Greenstone manufactured Latanoprost. Apparently, it is not as good as brand Xalatan. lol
We have one that is willing to pay a ton of money for brand Klonopin
It's the awesome looking cut-outs of course!
