I was looking at the test specs on the ADA website and had a quick bio question. Does human genetics refer to population genetics? What does chromasomal genetics refer to?

thanks

chromosomal genetics = molec genetics

i dont think so because they are listed as two different things on the ADA website

I would guess that "human genetics" might have questions like blood type and that chromosomal genetics might ask questions related to transcription/translation/regulation ect.

Questions relating to say downsyndrome/trisomy and colorblindness/sex linked could be either or depending on which part the question was focusing on.

molec genetics - molec level understaning of genes - transcription, translation, lacoperon..etc

human genetics - diseases of human that are related to chromosomal defects

classical genetics - crosses, mendelian..all that stuff

chromosomal genetics - i guess..what are chromosomes made of? or parts of X & Y chromosomes?

genetic technology - PCR, electropherosis (i guess that is how its spelled)..u know technology

I hope that is right...that is how i would interpret it ..sorry i didnt know they had molec & human listed separately
