I just graduated from the program this year and had an unbelievable time. This is not a traditional post-bac program that teaches you things you will again learn in med school. It is rather a program that gives you an overview of other health care modalities, the tools to critically evaluate research (both CAM and conventional) and provides a sound foundation in physiology. It is a very unique educational experience that will teach you, according to me, essential things regarding the health care field that is not necessarily taught anywhere else. In this sense, rather than honing you into medical school, this program opens up opportunities in research, policy, alternative medicines, as well as providing valuable information for anyone heading to medical school.
Now onto the good part, it is a program that allows you to have a little bit more freedom and social life. Having the 30 person limit creates a very personal tight-knit group. Also, the directors and coordinators will be there for you every step of the way only if you ask. On the other hand, it is still a young program in ever evolving field so many things, including the curriculum, change to improve the program.
For anyone that is interested, there is a new facebook page (Georgetown University Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) MS) where you can find some resources and post any questions that you want answered by current and past students regarding this program.
