I'll be attending upstate in the fall. I'm also a NYS resident, from upstate, and have done all my research concerning the school. If you don't think that you can land a competitive residency from upstate, you haven't done your research. Bottom line-- go wherever you think you'll be most comfortable while being bombarded with information. If cost is an issue, then Upstate is simply a no brainer. I'm not trying to take anything away from Georgetown, I simply don't think it's worth the extra money if residency placement is your main concern.
