I don't like these "which school" threads, but now I see why people start them. If you can't join 'em....

Anyway, of the acceptances I've been fortunate enough to earn this year, I've boiled down my final decision to these three. I'm open to just about any specialty but currently (and for the last few years) I've been very interested in clinical research, specifically in oncology. Each of these schools has some good points, and each of them has issues that would make me think twice about attending. I'm a Virginia resident but the in-state tuition at VCU is not so drastically cheaper than the two privates that it's a serious consideration.

Anyway, any thoughts on this bunch? Anyone at these schools care to comment?

blee, take wake forest. Leave an open spot at VCU for me so I can get off the hold list. 😉

Seriously, tho, what does your gut tell you? If you can take a weekend or two and do a second look thing, that might help. Most admissions offices have lists of students you can call and talk with about the school - might help you make your decision.

If cost of tuition were not an issue, I would decide b/t Georgetown and Wake. I thought you mentioned that you were interested in living in an area where it's cheaper to live/buy a house. I say go with Winston-Salem. I was raised in NC, and I know property is much cheaper there than in D.C.

if you want to be in a city, go with g'town. if you want a quieter atmosphere, go with wake. if tuition at VCU isn't that much cheaper, i wouldn't consider it unless something about it really appeals to you.
