Hi,

Does anyone have any advice on getting in to a geriatric fellowship? I'm currently in a program where it's not available. Thanks

Does anyone know why geriatricians can not bill as specialists? Are they more of medical specialist than primary care docs?

Let's see... geriatrics fellowship...

Do you have a pulse?
Did you at one time have a pulse?
Can you dress yourself?

If you answered yes to at least one of these questions, a geriatrics fellowship may be for you!

Seriously though, it is not competitive. It is mostly social work. Kinda like Peds

if you are going to do Geriatrics, go to a top notch program --- no point in doing it if you don't go to the best places to train. On the west coast, it's UCLA, and they have a bunch of spaces.
