2. Is continuity principle just about just about connecting small shapes into smooth lines? The way I was trying to remember the laws is as follows:
continuity = connect the dots/squares/other shapes
closure = fill in lines where needed to make a larger shape
proximity = group larger shapes near each other (to form a cluster of larger shapes) OR similarity = group similar things into a larger large shape
Of course I realize the laws are much more flexible, but this simplification helps to remember them. It's valid enough right?
