I was just about to make this thread, since this reaches far more and a wider range of people than my Facebook will ever.

Please vote, everyone. A number of important issues are at stake today that affects each and everyone of us, as global citizens and as future doctors. Vote as a woman, as an immigrant, as whatever form or shape you may come in. Doesn't matter who you vote for, just get your voice out there, because there are issues coming up that are far too real for any of us to ignore.

Less than 30 minutes in line when the polls opened this morning. Put in my vote for important state issues. Get out there folks.

I just finished voting. It was awesome. An eagle literally flew from the heavens and perched right on my shoulder while I was in that voting booth. Then, after I stepped out of the booth, all the volunteers lined up to give me high fives as I walked out and donned me with an American flag cape. I turned to them, eagle still perched on my shoulder looking proud, put on my shades, and said " 'murica". Red white and blue fireworks went off as soon as the word rolled off of my tongue and I walked away without saying another word.

If Johnson gets 5% of the popular vote, the libertarian party will receive federal funding next year. Your vote doesn't HAVE to be wasted.

Everyone will hate the electoral college, but it's necessary to prevent majority rule. At a federal level, states should be more important than citizens (and senators should be chosen by the state legislatures). Of course, too much emphasis on swing states defeats the intended purpose.
