I never got Iserson's, First Aid for the Match, or 200 Rules to succeed in Residency Match. But I am getting really nervous about interviews, and I'd like to know what to expect. I feel like I flubbed most of my med school interviews 4 years ago.

Can anyone who owns the books vouch for how valuable they are as resources for interviews? gives an idea of what to expect, sample interview questions, etc.

Finally, I'm wondering if we will be asked medical questions during our interviews. It makes sense that this is an interview for medicine that our knowledge ought to be tested. Consulting firms usually have students do problem solving on the spot, and I wonder if residency programs might do the same thing.

Thanks a bunch!

I can say that Iserson's is not what you're looking for. The book is outdated and very biased. It also seems written to stroke your ego if you're not a great candidate. I can't speak for the other books.

I've found the individual specialty forums to be helpful in terms of interview preparation/advice.
