I was just wondering how a person goes about getting a PM&R position in a different part of the country then they do residency?

Do you approach job sites in the state you are interested in? And if so, when in your residency training do you do this?

Any advice is appreciated. We are currently in the midwest but are looking to settle down in Montana after residency.

Thanks!

Do you have attending physicians? It is part of their job. You should be looking from PGY2 year- get your head out of your books and search the internet, make some phone calls. IT IS YOUR FUTURE!

There are many recruiters available- a few are adept at PMR. Linda Farr and Robin Andrews (Quantum) come to mind.

Seriously, you should look through the internet as well as job recruiters, etc. Lobelsteve gave some solid and succinct info.
