Hi all,

I just finished reviewing kaplan and took my first full length exam but i am getting around 78% correct. I am really disappointed because I was shooting for 520+. I have about a month to go for my mcat exam. Any advice on how I should approach for next one month? I was planning to review all the questions and take more FL exams and do uworld then thought I should be good but I am pretty disappointed how my first fl exam turned out. Sorry for my wordy post i am panicking a bit. Any advice would be appreciated!

On a side note, what would be my score like if this were my actual exam? Is it roughly ~510?

Kaplan isn't AAMC so I wouldn't say its score or % of questions correct is going to tell you much. People don't do well on Kaplan all the time and is often much more difficult that the actual MCAT. Use third-party MCAT full lengths as a way to build stamina for the test and learn a few new concepts along the way. Don't judge yourself with any other test than the 6 full-length exams offered by AMCAS.

Have you taken an AAMC full-length exam yet? If not, I recommend scheduling all of them over the next few weeks. Give yourself at least 5-7 days between each full-length exam to improve upon content weaknesses and other strategies. Make an ANKI folder and put all of your silly mistakes and content gaps from full length exams in there.
