Hi there, I was going to be applying next year, and I was wondering how to ask for letters of rec during the year? Since the AAMC is not open yet, should I ask the professors to just write a letter of rec on blank sheet and save it until I need it next June? Is there any specific format that they need, or any desired length, or is just an empty slate? I really don't want to wait until the last minute, and i think it would be a good idea to have my professors write it while they still remember me.

Props for thinking about this early. Getting LOR is often one of the most frustrating parts about applying. I agree with the above poster, use interfolio so that you can show you have not read them when sending them to schools.
