The school can't be to blame for every single problem that lead to your position. If this was the case, every student would be failing. I think you need to look and see what other students are doing differently to make themselves successful. If you can't find something there, I think you need to reevaluate if optometry school is really for you. It's going to be stressful and the teachers aren't there to give you all the material like undergrad. A professional school take a lot more work individually to be successful.
I am in optometry school, but my GPA is not good because of the external problems I had to go through adjusting to the place in the first place, and not to mention I had a very hard time adjusting with people with very rude attitudes. In addition, I feel that the way professors teach here at the school is not effective. I know I am fully capable of being in optometry school, but because of my average GPA, I might be getting dismissed, and now I don't know what to do.
Not yet, I start August at SUNY.
I went to Optometry in puerto rico, and honestly my experience as a student with some the students in my year was so bad that I felt I was in high school all over again. If anyone knows anything true about this school which I should really know about, please let me know.
The grass IS usually greener on the other side of the fence.if i was you id retake the oats and try to apply to another school where you would be happier. oh and get a job in the meantime
