Anyone has a shot with a reasonable grade/test score. I got in this year with a 3.5 and a 34 Q. It is the overall package that the committee is looking for. Good luck.
3.3 is a little low, but 35 is right in their ballpark. I got in this year (from the waitlist) with a 3.4 and a 38. Definitely give it a shot if you're interested in going there, it's a great school and your numbers are in their ballpark.
i know this is annoying to see individual cases like this...but I feel kind of blind going through this process so I thought I would ask...what are NYU's ranges? Should a 32P not even apply? Even with a 4.0? Thanks for the help.
WendsJ, the NYU website states that the average MCAT for recent entering classes has been a 32 (11s in the science sections and 10 in verbal). So, together with your GPA you probably have a good shot.
as an aside, someone that chooses a med school based on the quality of dorms they provide probably shouldnt be giving advice to others on where to apply/go
