getting screen out early with C's

Anyone have any insight on this? I heard one adcom's just highlights C's and if you have too many then you are out!

dont think so, I have plenty of C's on my transcript probally about 8 or so and have been accepted to 1 school and waitlisted at 2 others 1 in the top 20 .

Well, if you got straight C's in all your pre-reqs, and have a really low gpa due to a ton of C's, then yeah, you're not in very good shape. If you have a couple of C's here in there, especially if they were early in your academic career, then don't sweat it. Almost everyone get's C's (just not here on sdn). What can I say, C's happen. Don't sweat your transcript now because there's nothing you can do about it. Focus on what you can control and try to make yourself the most attractive applicant possible.

Yea. I have to say SDN is giving me a freaking panic attack because of the C's I got early on..that being said it isn't like I cranked out A's either but I haven't really gotten into my pre-reqs for science so maybe I'll save myself still....if not well ..can't go with the if nots yet.

I would agree. I had 3 Cs on my transcript all my Fresh/1st sem of sophmore year.

All chemistry courses. I think Cs in pre-reqs do hurt ya overall. If they are not in pre-req courses you should be fine.
