So I'm doing Examkrackers test passages 1 and 2, and I get all 13 questions right. When I look at the logic they used, I am usually off (except on the flat retrieval questions), and some of the choices I was heavily leaning towards one answer, switched at the last second, and got it right.

Is it my passage analysis, or what is going on? I don't know how to improve on this.

Practice. VR is reading comprehension and attention to detail (not attention to detailS). And you can't develop reading comprehension skills without practicing.

I did just now, I took three parts and got a 8/15. I have no idea how that happened. I found myself not reading the question or stems fully, so tomorrow I'm going to do that and finish up the exam. I think this test was skewed since I'll have 18/25 going in, which I clearly don't deserve. Thanks again. Do you know any other verbal books (I have TPR and EK) that I can practice on?:scared::scared:

I know a lot of people on here LOVE EK verbal but I was often frustrated with their answer explanations. Do their passages, review your answers and work on solid Verbal strategies like reading the passages in so many minutes, reading questions fully, etc but don't freak out about your score yet. It can sometimes be hard to try to understand where they are coming from/how to get into the verbal minset when they provide you with a 1 sentence answer. AAMC practice tests will ultimately be your best predictor of score and insight into how you should tackle verbal passages. Unlike most people here I found TBR verbal passages also extremely helpful to get into the right mindset.

This. I always scored like 8 or 9 on their practice tests in the 101 passages in verbal reasoning book. Then I averaged 11 on my practice AAMC tests in verbal. Just continue to practice and practice, make you do the the AAMC full length exams.

They key is practice like said above, but it has to be good practice. I don't think EK really matches the AAMC all that well. I have been on the look out for something better, but there just isn't a lot out there. The key is good review and taking the time to understand why the questions are asked the way they are. They can't ask a question that they are unable to clearly and rationally justify the answer. This section is isn't about smarts its about knowing the patterns. Learning the patterns and what types of questions they like to ask about the material is key.
