Girl who does not age.

I saw a documentary about this it would not be fun for any age required activities, PG13+ movies, liquor store, voting, etc..... because no one would believe you.

The physicians in the video claim that she is the only individual like this in the world. It's a shame that she has to live her life like that, but we could learn so much from her.

Here is basically the text put to video...

It certainly is an interesting and unique condition.

Not a "fountain of youth" - that's ridiculous. She's going to die much sooner than the rest of us (in addition to the medical complications she's already had, she's just as prone to any diseases we face including cancer and heart disease). At least she seems happy though.

The only thing studying her can do is help us further understand what parts regulate development in infants since something that has been damaged in her body lead to underdevelopment. Most likely the stroke.

Fascinating to try to imagine why she has not grown physically but neither has she developed mentally and so goes through life with the mental capacity of a nine-month old. As much as I loved cuddling and dressing my babies, I have delighted in seeing them grow and mature and head toward independence.

that's the first thing i thought about too. i can't imagine how hard it is for her parents to know that they have an eternal infant on their hands with no chance of gaining some separation or independence. very sad.

I thought about that initially, as well. 🙁

I wouldn't call it not aging. She just doesn't develop correctly. Her body still undergoes oxidative stress and she will probably have a much shorter lifespan than normal.
