I guess I'm not positive, but I assume MWU interviews are all automated so that me canceling my interview just automatically opens the spot up. I decided to decline the interview for several reasons, so I'll hold onto it for a bit and if someone really wants to take it, let me know.

that's very nice of you. I hope someone with an interview in Nov does this too, not like rescheduling 4 days before...

If you don't mind, can I ask you the reason why you decided not to go to MWU interview? Already got too many interviews???😀

Haha....no I wish I had too many interviews. I actually just got #2 today with Penn, but I had already decided to decline mwu before then. The main reason is their prereqs. I have myself to blame... I just didn't look carefully enough at all of them. My undergrad school doesn't have common anatomy/physiology courses and I'd be pushing like 19 credits/quarter all of science for the next 2 quarters if I wanted to fill their anatomy/physio/micro prereqs. Plus the whole interviewing 600 for 100 spots was a little deterring. Oh well... hopefully my mistake will result in spot for someone else on here. Considering I applied 14 places, I'm just gonna be hopeful I get some more interviews in the next few months. Anyways...spots still there if anyones interested.

I wouldn't let that stuff deter you, you might end up being thankful you went through and applied.

Their tuition isn't all that appealing either...

There is a good chance I'll be cancelling that interview as well, since I have a few before the 1st.

I'm by no means letting the interview/acceptance ratio deter me... it really comes down to the fact that it's literally impossible for me to complete their prereqs in 2 more quarters. I just completely planned out my theoretical schedule to fulfill them and assuming class times wouldn't overlap and I could actually take them all... I'd taking at least 20 credits/quarter and hating my last 2 quarters here.

I've only heard good things about mwu on here from people, but it wouldn't work out. Plus, I'd really like to get on board a school that is a bit more established if possible. Like I said, with 13 other schools I applied to, I'm gonna remain optimistic for now.

Why are they interviewing you if you didn't do all those pre-reqs? Some schools will let that slide...and by them extending you an interview I believe they have.

looking at ur predents page, u have great stats, I'd say you definately will get more interviews and most likely many acceptances when that Dec 1st day comes.

However, theres always that "you never know" scenerio, so if I were you, I would just keep that interview in the case where things don't go your way. I know several of my friends with similar stats as yours not getting in last year which was really weird.

In terms of the pre-reqs, dont' let that deter you from going to the interview. There were several people that took classes in the summer to fullfill them, or they even took a really easy online class, or at a community college. Once ur in, its really easy to just finish them.

i emailed admissions this weekend asking about the prereq scenario...sdn hasnt failed me so far so i suppose ill hold onto the interview until i hear back from them 😳

yea it'd be better safe than sorry..
since the interview is a month after dec 1st, you can turn down the interview when you actually hear back from other schools.. it wouldn't be too late then...

p.s. could i know when penn sent you the app completion letter? cause i'm waiting to hear back from them too...
