Glitch with Davis Secondary?

I am having trouble with Davis' online application. In the optional application section, it provides you with choices regarding the hours spent on research. I entered 300 or more for lab/basic science research, but then when I try to enter the same for clinical research, the NONE button choice doesn't un-bubble. So I end up having both NONE and 300 or More bubbled in. Then once I refresh, it goes back to just saying NONE. AHHHHH as if this Davis application wasn't frustrating enough! Does this happen to anyone else?! Advice please!

That sounds odd. It could be your browser. Try just exiting the app and reload it.

No 🙁 Tried it with both Safari and Firefox....no luck..

I totally see your point. I clicked on it myself 😛. Um...I don't know how to fix it. I wish I could see what the final product would look like before I submit it. 😛 Maybe you should give them a call?

It saves it only when you click next. Did you click next and then previous? Is it not 300+?
Also, it might be a Mac thing. I'm on a Mac myself, so I can't tell you.

Had the same problem.. e-mailed them and they told me to just mention it and the number of hours in the comments section.. but that may also be more natural because it's what I'm writing about. You can try using the Other box as well.

Geez. If the 600 word limit wasn't enough. I'll use the others box. I don't know why that never came to me. 😛 Thanks for the info though. I'm sure we both appreciate it.

This must be so short. I haven't received the Davis secondary, but I was working on the UCLA secondary today (800 char limit) and had so much trouble.

O man. How did I make that mistake? I'm totally aware of the 600 char myself. It's a doozy and it totally proves to you that they're not looking at the primary ECs, unless this is just for an open-file interview for quick referencing. Just hit a few points and if they want more they'll give you an interview. 😛 I could only hope...

hey I have a question about this: i received the davis secondary last time, and they had all the same questions, except the character limit was 6000, not 600. is this 600 character limit a typo, or is it what everyone else is getting?

its 600 char for everyone. Their secondary won't allow you to type more than that.

whoa! actually, i'm kinda glad it's only 600 char, because last years 6000 was ridiculous. it's going to be hard to distill everything down to a paragraph, but i'm sure we'll find a way...
