Glucose Uptake in the Brain in Medical School

Hey all,

Do you think that glucose uptake in the brain is higher in medical students -- assuming the endless hours we spend studying -- than the common layman ( someone who isn't a medical student) ?

I am sure increased brain activity wud demand more blood flow through the circle of Willis similar to increased blood flow to other organs 😉 during increased needs of perfusion
 
I actually loose weight when I am studying hard even though I am eating the same, so I guess the brain is consumming the glucose.
BTW I have noticed some people are the exact opposite.
 
That's what I tell myself as I sit here studying... eating a snickers and chocolate chip cookies.
 
I assume it goes way up during the test

and goes down to near zero at the party afterwards
