Well it depends. North Koreans are malnourished cuz KimJong Izzil keep taking the food away from the commoners and givin' it to the military. So I don't think North Koreans can kick too much ass.

Now, South Koreans on the other hand...we can't fight either. All we know is how to play Starcraft.

Oh I think many people have realized the irony of the situation. Of course, I was a bit late in realizing the irony though as my friends and I were talking about it last night while playing a board game.

Dan: You know that Florida chick had an eating disorder?
Andy: The Florida chick?
Dan: Yeah the one who's like dehhhh now.
Andy: Oh the feeding tube chick.
Dan: She was either a bulemic or anorexic...you see the absurdity of the situation?
Brit: Oh that's really ****ed up.
Andy: I don't get it.
Dan: Think about it, she starves herself, resulting in some electrolyte imbalance and now she's like dehhhhh. And now they're fighting over whether they should feed her now.
Andy: Well if she was truly committed to starving herself, I think she would object to having a feeding tube.

My dog certainly does!! She has a heated bed and gets to take naps most of the day. Every day she gets to go outside and play fetch which she loves. She gets treats everyday. Definitely a better life than being a doctor. 🙂

My electric blanket is one of the biggest pleasures in my life. There is nothing like curling up in my nice, warm bed at the end of the day.
 
I have a friend who owns an electric vibrator. It is one of the biggest pleasures of her life. It goes bzzzzzz and she goes oooooooh.

It tastes like... well, like dog, I guess. It's pretty greasy, as I remember. I had to get really drunk before I could try it, though - as I ate the soup, I kept telling myself "this is beef, this is beef". Then they brought out a plate of "drumsticks" that were clearly not from a cow. I couldn't bring myself to eat those - that was too much 😱
 
Yeah, sorry you had to experience that geddy. My people cook some funky stuff sometimes.
 
Overall, Korean food was pretty good (soju and kimchee make everything better). The seafood was really good, though. I also loved bulgogi, and the restaurants you go to where you cook the thin slices of meat, fish, vegetables, shrimp, whatever, on a grill at your table. The worst part about the dog soup was that it was supposed to make you more virile - negative on that. :laugh:

I heard a funny story from some of the priests I met in Seoul - they said that during the 1988 Olympics, the gov't was worried that foriegners would be offended by dog restaurants. So, the restaurants kind of went into hiding or changed their name to "meat restaurant" - all of the locals still knew what it was though 😉

On the other hand my dog in India had a great time nevertheless..... Not a bad deal actually even for some dogs in India.... 🙂

Not a warming blanket of course.......It would have roasted to death in the heat and be reborn as a human again.............

That was about the time I was visiting Korea...but I was only 12 and so I wasn't aware of what offended who. But one thing that offended me was the Korean McDonald's joints. What the flying f*ck is that pink sauce they keep putting on their burgers? What happened to good ol' ketchup and mustard!?! Oh and then there's the Pizza Hut. Everytime you ask for pepperoni, they give you ham. What the **** is that? I mean helooooooo....pepperoni is NOT ham. If I wanted ham, I would've said ham. What I should've done was ask for ham in the hope of getting pepperoni on my damn pizza :laugh:

Somebody asked me about this in another thread once, too. I think it is a modification of a story, but I'm not sure exactly how it goes - here's the gist of it. A young Buddhist monk tells an older one about a vision he had and how he thinks he has figured out what it's all about, the mystery of existence. The older monk says something like "yeah, yeah - that happens to everyone at some point, but you're not there yet - not even close. If you see the Buddha on the road, kill him."

In other words, if you see something that looks like what you want, it's probably not. You should kill it before it has an before it becomes a false fixation and keeps you from advancing further.

Plus, I just think it sounds kind of funny. 😀

Oh, like that, you mean. Well, I think you probably never meet the buddha - that's the point, in my mind. The search is what's important.
