I have been accepted to some dental school (I already paid one school which is one of my top choice), however, many people on this forum have said that Tufts interview is must go because of great student body and the facility. I am coming from out of state so the cost of attending the interview will be ~$500 for sure.

When I first started to apply for dental school Tufts was one of my top choice, however, after seeing the price tag, I was a bit skeptical.

Maybe someone can give me insights to their experience from this year? or any other people with opinions??

Thanks

If you already paid your deposit for your top school, why even bother?
It is true Tufts in Boston costs alot, moreover I would save the money for going to the interview.

"One of my top school" and Tufts is also "one of my top school choice" and many people went with hesitation of going and a lot of people ended up loving the school.

I think the trip is a good investment of time and money. You can't really tell if a dental school is the right fit for you unless you experience it for yourself. The things you hear from other people are all SUBJECTIVE. Have fun!

Go to the interview. It might change your life forever. That's $500 I would be willing to take a chance on. It's not like you're going to visit a school you absolutely despise and has a terrible reputation.

Go to the interview. Boston is a nice city and Tufts gives the most informative tour/presentation of their school ever.

I'm in the same boat as you! I just got accepted at pitt and it's a great school (one of my top choices), but then Tufts came along and invited me for an interview. Not sure, if I should go and give Tufts a try. I don't hear too many Tufts dental students perspective on their school :/

Honestly, they're all probably busy with school. And once you get into dental school, you don't really go back to SDN unless you just want to help people.

Everything I've heard says Tufts is a great school, especially clinically. One of my friends goes there and really likes it. Boston is a great place to live in general. Only major drawback is the price tag but that's a problem with many of schools.

Wish I could afford the deposit.

Thanks everyone for comments!! I decided to go and give a try. I just felt it is better to "know" (either way, accepted or rejected) than "not knowing". Plus it is once in life time opportunity and Tufts is a great institution.
