So I have been complete at all of the schools I applied to for about a month now (PCOM, CCOM, UMDNJ-SOM, UNECOM, NYCOM, LECOM). I haven't heard from any of the schools at all yet, but I know I did apply a little late because I was waiting to see how the August MCATs went. However, this waiting game is driving me absolutely nuts. 😱 A lot of my classmates and fellow pre-meds are getting acceptances and interviews- so how do I keep from constantly checking the mail, e-mail, voicemail, etc., and keep some of my sanity? 😕

I mean I am happy that some of my friends are getting in, but in reality I am going nuts from people constantly asking me if I have heard anything yet. I especially love the people who ask if you have thought of a Plan B yet.

Any tips or suggestions on how to not go over the deep end these next couple of LOOOOOOONG months???

Thanks 🙂

lol, oh god, this doesn't look good for me then.

I had my secondaries in mid-october, but I barely sent them in (+ LOR's) last week. Anyone know how long it takes for schools to get back to you about this time?

Breathe in and breathe out. I know the waiting game is excruciating but try to get your mind off med school apps for awhile by hanging out w/ friends who like to talk about things other than "getting in" and "the future" . It is tough to see other people getting acceptances while you're still waiting, I know. But stand your ground, you'll get an acceptance soon enough. So go out, enjoy life, go to the best clubs in town w/ a group of your closest friends & shake it all out. lol That's what I did while waiting and it made me feel much better. good luck! 🙂

I feel your pain. 😛

I feel the pain, I too have been complete at every school for months now and have not recieved any love. Got to go check the mail and my e-mail!!!!!!!

I'm experiencing the same issues (Aug. MCAT). I completed my file at PCOM, Virginia, Nova Southeastern, New Jersey, and NYCOM about three weeks ago. I immediately got interviews at COMP, West Virginia, Kansas, Kirksville, and Touro Nevada...but really wanted to go to the Northeast. I'm now questioning if I will get anymore interviews. I hope so. I suppose we must be patient and hang in there. I truly feel your pain. Can you feel my anxiety? I'm a damn basket case after this entire process. :scared: What ever happens we must stay resolute and keep our eye on the prize...we can achieve our goals. Good luck to you and I hope you find out soon about your interviews.

I have been waiting on PCOM and NYCOM for over 3 months. This is driving me crazy since I already have some acceptances. I wanted to see all schools before sending in my deposit.

Congratulations on all the interviews! I'm sure you'll get a few more no doubt.

I just hope I'm lucky enough to get some in that 3 week time frame of yours. That's a pretty quick turn around!

G'luck with your acceptances 🙂
