As some of you might know I am getting out of the Navy and going back to school to finish my pre-reqs. My problem is I did this collegiate highschool thing before the navy and have about 75 CREDITS with an associates in computer science with a terrible 2.6 C.GPA. My other issue is that I was applying for University of Texas at DALLAS however lot of the classes are already closed up/full for upcoming fall semester....should I not wait and take what I can at community college first and transfer to UTD for spring semester and choose my classes early?

My ABSOLUTE goal is to finish all my pre-reqs IN 2 YEARS. Get my Pharm Tech license and a job as a Tech WITHIN a YEAR.....I have some of the basic classes done, along with basic science like Biology 1 and Chem 1....which I didn't do good at the time. Should I just retake everything?

Also can I start fresh without having to give my 4 year old transcript to PharmCas?

Also thank you for everyone who have been very supportive of me.

You cant start fresh but you can retake the classes you did bad on. I re-took 3 classes to raise my gpa and I got accepted this year. You do not want a gpa lower than a 3.0 if you want to get accepted into a good school. And your PCAT scores should be above the 70th percentile.

If you don't plan on going to a university and getting a bachelors, you really should just take all of your pre-reqs at a community college. If you end up with a high gpa and good PCAT scores, combining that with your pharmacy tech experience you should have no problem getting accepted into a good school.

But don't forget, some pharmacy schools have a 7 year limit on pre-reqs so you might want to plan out all of your classes in advance to see if any old classes from 4 years ago will hit the 7 year mark if for whatever reason it takes you longer than 2 years to finish your pre-reqs.

Unless it's changed since i applied, pharmcas requires you to report ALL credits earned. I'm pretty sure you sign off somewhere saying everything you put in the application is truthful, so up to you what you want to do.

Keep in mind though, adcoms are much less concerned about your GPAs from years ago that are unrelated to pharmacy as they are about your GPA from the last 2-4 years and your prereqs (especially science) When you fill out pharmcas, it differentiate your science and non science gpa. Just focus on crushing your prereqs and you'll be fine.

Also, my opinion is save yourself some money and take what you can from a credible community college in your area.
