Is anyone else supremely excited that the new Dr. Who companion is a medical student?

Keeping a poker face when you realize your patient has two hearts? Well done, Martha Jones.

Dr. Who, in its 29th season has brought in a medical student as a major character. And for once, said Med Student is in no danger of sleeping with any of her fellow cast members. It's a marked departure from the current portrayal of young medical professionals, not in small part due to its British roots.

Isn't that a James Bond movie? What?

Female medical students? Those Brits have really gone too far this time. What?

Oh, that sounds fun. I love Dr. Who! Gonna miss Rose though.

I only have room in my heart for one British doctor on television, and she is played by Parminder Nagra.

😍

Okay, selfish here, how do you know that the new doctor who companion is in medicine. Further more, how can I obtain proof (get to watch episodes) that she is. When is doctor who coming back to the US? Big fan, ever since fifth doctor (actually met him). Need info, stop hogging.

What? What the hell are you people talking about?

1. The part where she's rounding with a physician gave it away.
2. New epsiodes are up at places like alluc and tv-links.co.uk
3. New Who has been on the sci-fi channel for the last two years, starting with Chris Eccleston as 9th doctor.

Enjoy!
