My apologies if this is in the wrong section. :/
Let me start off by saying that I am an Army wife. My husband will be finished with AIT in a few weeks and then we will be going to his first duty station. There is a community college and a university near the base. I don't think I'll be able to get into the university due to a really bad semester at my first school. There were two deaths in my family that hit me like a ton of bricks and I couldn't focus on my work, so I ended up withdrawing from the school.
I'm thinking that the community college would be the best way to fix that semester and complete my general requirements. I'm only worried that I may not have enough time to complete those classes and then transfer to the university in the area if they move us earlier than expected. If we end up at a base that doesn't have a university in the area and I take math/science courses at a CC, is that going to hurt my chances of getting into a medical school? I'm not shooting for a top tier school (not that I plan on slacking, because that's not me). I just want to be a doctor.
Any insight would be much appreciated. And once again, my apologies if this is in the wrong section.
